This was a busy week for the second graders in Mrs. Malinowski's/Churchill's class. They worked hard towards Friday which included a Reading Theme test, a Spelling test, a vocabulary test AND the Unit 4 math test. They did GREAT! I sent all the tests home in their Friday folders, except the Math. That will go home on Monday. We had two days of indoor recess because of the cold, so you can imagine the energy levels. We played math games at the end of the day today and that helped. It's just not fair to have all this snow and have it be too cold to play in. Next week we will start Unit 5 in Math. We will focus on shapes, 2D and 3D. It will be a fun Unit with some fun activities. We finished Theme 4 in Reading. The story for this week was "Where is Kitty?" which I called "Hello Kitty" all week long. I could not get it right. The students got a kick out of that, and corrected me each time through giggles. Quote of the week from one of your children, "Mrs. Churchill, why is recess so short and everything else so long?" :-) Enjoy your weekend. Mrs. Churchill
