We ended the month of February with all kinds of fun reading activities! We had a Battle of the Books, a Read-a-thon, Pajama day, and a Blind Date with a book. The students seemed to have fun, and hopefully increased their desire to read, and their enjoyment of it. Below are some pictures. I hope you have a great weekend. I will be trying to stick close to the fireplace now that hockey season is over.

February 14
It was great to see so many of you at conferences. What a marvelous group of parents and kids in this classroom! I am grateful! This week, we had a visit from author David LaRochelle, and celebrated the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day. Here are some pictures from both. Enjoy.

2014 Olympics
Did we actually have a full week of school this week? I think so! It sure went quickly. Unfortunately, we were not able to go outside because of the wind chill this afternoon, but we played some Olympic type games in the classroom. We learned a lot about U.S. athletes and Olympic sporting events. We ended the day with some hot chocolate in the lunchroom. It was a fun day. Here are some pictures. Enjoy. And, enjoy your weekend.
