We had some fun this week with the iPads. As you saw, we created i Trailers. I thought they turned out really well!! We also used the iPads to practice math and reading skills. We finished up Unit 10 in Math and will start 11 on Monday. Our brassica plants have really grown. I have included a picture for proof. :-) We ended the week with some jelly bean math and Easter bunny writing!
Enjoy the pictures below and enjoy your Easter!

Hello Parents,
The week went very quickly! We worked on place value, money and making change in math. We did some Spring writing, and watched and recorded our plants growing like crazy. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. Also, wanted to let you know that I will be working with small groups of students at the library this summer on Monday and Wednesday mornings. I will be reviewing second grade skills and previewing some third grade skills. It will be fun and with a relaxed atmosphere. It is for students at any level. I am limiting the groups to 5 students on each day. The time will be from 10:00am - 10:4am5 on both Mondays and Wednesdays. The cost will be $20 per session. Let me know if you are interested, and pass the information along to anyone else who may be interested! I can be contacted at terridchurchill@gmail.com .

This week in second grade, we worked on counting money, finding the median and place value in math. In reading, we worked on -est and -er endings, elements of a report and finished our hardcover books to be published! In Science our brassica plants continue to grow as we observe, record and learn about plants. I have included a couple of pictures of our little plants. We had a parent bring in DQ on Friday at the end of the day. You can see some of the red faces from the ice cream treats. We are currently in 5th place in the fundraiser. Keep those coins coming in to help the Wright County Crisis Nursery! Have a great weekend!!

Hello Parents!
It was another wonderful week at Fieldstone in grade 2! We finished up our measurement unit in math. Thank you for all the donations of food to help us measure and graph. Next week we will begin our unit on money and place value.
In language we are learning about possessive pronouns and writing reports. Our Theme 12 test will be on Friday.
We planted brassica seeds in Science. The seeds have already sprouted and the students are very excited about that!
Next week we begin a fundraiser for the Wright County Crisis Nursery. Please send in extra change to help in the cause. The class that raises the most money earns a pizza party!
Also next week the order forms for the students' books are due. Please return signed even if you do not wish to order additional copies.
Now for the best part... the pictures! :-)
